Nigeria, other West African countries adopt ECO single currency
The Authority of ECOWAS Heads of State and Government on Saturday adopted ECO as the name of the single currency to be issued in January 2020.
ECOWAS is made up of 15-member countries. They are Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Togo.

Tension in Ekiti as suspected herdsmen kill hunter
Palpable tension gripped residents of Orin-Ekiti in Ido/Osi Local Government Area of Ekiti State on Saturday following the murder of a hunter by suspected Fulani herdsmen in the town.
The hunter, Emmanuel Ilori was said to have been killed at midnight while hunting for animals with some of his colleagues.
